The Yoga of the Horse - Vedic Symbol of the Universe

When the Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, left her mortal in November 1973, Thea (Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet) received many keys of knowledge from Her, which she presents in her book, The Gnostic Circle - a study in cosmic harmonies. By 1986 Thea established her own research Aeon Centre of Cosmology, Skambha. She had a deep understanding of the Vedic symbolism of the Cow as light and consciousness, and the Horse as force and speed; these two animals were to be an essential part of her applied cosmology.
In The Yoga of the Horse, Thea explores the process of the spiritual journey through a racing experience with three of her magnificent thoroughbred horses. A detailed analysis of each race, based on the diagram of The Gnostic Circle, is at the heart of this story. Using diary notes, excerpts from Sri Aurobindo and the Mother’s writings, and inspired by Dadhikravan, the Vedic Horse, Thea describes the method which can affect a real transformation of society.
